Fashion has often looked towards art for inspiration, which is why it should not be a surprise that this spring we will see a lot of art-inspired fashion. But one of the most unexpected spring trends is inspired by Pop Art. Designers are finding encouragement in color-saturated pop art and infusing them into their collections. Prada is an example of one of the many designers that looked towards this popular cultural art. Prada debuted its Spring 2014 collection in Milan (photos shown above) and quickly the word spread about the resemblance to Pop Art. Nevertheless, Prada was not the only one influenced by this fun and colorful art style. Others such as, Chanel and Christopher Kane have also dipped their style into Pop Art. This spring expect to see vibrant colors, illustrated by paintbrush patterns, spray can looks, and graphite revelations.
What are your thoughts? Would you wear the Pop Art fashion?
